Session 2: The Shadow Dragon

In a fierce battle, the party triumphed over the Sahuagin, with Mirabel turning their trap against them and Fate using her magical bouzouki to teleport between foes. Z’mbo hurled enemies off the cliff, and the Sahuagin warlock leader was killed, leaving behind a black shard of intense magical energy.

Back at camp, the party discovered Urug was secretly communicating with an unknown entity. They joined the Orcs to confront the Sahuagin at their lair, finding signs of a massacre and dead Sahuagin in the partially submerged dungeon. Despite their fear, they dived underwater, emerging in a corridor where they encountered fleeing Sahuagin and dispatched them.

The corridor, adorned with strange carvings, led to a sealed door that Z’mbo opened with the black shard. Inside, they faced a shadow dragon surrounded by the bodies of four missing teenagers. Mirabel and Fate managed to polymorph the dragon into a turtle, revealing Urug’s plan to let the party and Warug weaken before stepping in killing them all. In another part of the mysterious dungeon, they found a desk, with a letter written in languange noone understood and hand drawn map with markings on top. They did not investigate the dungeon further as they had to rush out.

With the dragon-turned-turtle taken care of , they apprehended Urug and his conspirators. After maintaining the polymorph spell for a few hours, the turtle transformed back into the druid’s child, not the dragon. Urug challenged Warug to combat, but with the party’s psychological support, Warug emerged victorious.

The party returned to Mariol’s hut to bury her and told the child that they would take him with them. They’ve also found a necklace with a bladed flower and a magical sealed Diary, along with some potions. Back in Southerntour, they were rewarded by the families of the found children and peace was made between the humans and Orcs. An old lady named Olenna, possibly a retired adventurer, gifted them loukoumakia. The party then returned to the Orc camp to plan their next move. (edited)
