Session 1: The Missing kids of Southera

In the remote island of Southera, located in the southern edge of the Archipelago, a group of adventurers were tasked to investigate the disappearance of children and mediate peace between the Orcish community and the human population. Instead of taking the usual route to the town of Southerntour, they chose a challenging wild goat path.

Their investigation led them to a group of teenagers known for bullying, who frequented the local beaches. The teenagers had trespassed into the home of a local druid, who lived with her adopted child. The druid was absent, but signs of a struggle, unfamiliar creature tracks, and a small pool of blood pointed towards the beach.

Back at the druid’s hut, the adventurers discovered a warded room with claw marks, designed to confine the druid’s child if necessary. They encountered shadowy monsters and found the druid’s body in the backyard, killed by a ferocious creature. Claw tracks led to a small lake.

The adventurers deduced that the druid’s child had transformed into a creature, attacked the trespassing teenagers, and killed the druid who tried to intervene. The teenagers escaped, injured, but encountered another group of creatures. The transformed child also encountered this group at the lake after collapsing there.

The adventurers also learned of a missing Orcish scout and confusion over attacks on Orcish boats, which the Orcs blamed on the humans.

The Orcish community was divided, with leader Warug advocating for peace with the humans, while his co-leader, a more aggressive orc, pushed for war. The party discovered that the attacks on the Orcs were likely carried out by sea creatures, not humans. They persuaded the Orcs to refrain from confronting the humans and instead investigated the patrol area of the missing Orcish scout, finding creature tracks leading to the sea.

There, they discovered the body of a missing teenager and spotted monstrous, fish-like creatures. The party tracked the creatures’ escape route with the help of Mirabel’s crow and followed them with a group of Orcs led by Warug.

The group split, with Warug and some Orcs accompanying the party over a cliff from the coastline, while Urug and another group of Orcs approached by boat. The sea creatures ambushed Urug’s party, nearly killing him before Z’mbo intervened. The party rushed to get reinforcements, but the sea creatures moved faster, setting up a trap on the cliff near the Orcish camp. The party now faces the challenge of confronting the sea creatures before they can reach and alert the camp.
