Types of Broomlings
Broomling Lite (40 speed, cant fly higher than 30 ft, has 20 charges a charge) 600gp, 1 upgrade slot.
Broomling Swift: ( 10 charges ): 1200gp 1 upgrade slot
Broomling Nimpus (+10 speed + 2 charges): 1800gp 1 upgrade slot
Broomling Nimpus Pro Racer (+20 speed + 2 charges) 2100gp 2 upgrade slots
Broomling Carrier (-10 speed + 5 charges): 3000gp can carry 3 persons + 100pounds of extra carriage. 3 slots
Broomling Carrier Fastboi ( normal speed + 5 charges): 3800gp can carry 3 persons + 150pounds of extra carriage. 3 slots
Mechanics
- Type: Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement)
- Description: A broom of flying that appears regular until its command word is spoken. It then hovers and can be ridden in the air.
- Speed: Has a flying speed of 50 feet. Speed reduces to 30 feet when carrying over 200 pounds.
- Carrying Capacity: Can carry up to 400 pounds.
- Fuel: Powered by Red Essence charges, comes with 10 charges. Consumes one charge per 10 mins of use or activation. Loses flight capability when charges are depleted. a charge costs 3gp.
- Concentration: If carrying more than one person, the user must maintain concentration to keep it aloft. If concentration is broken, it descends at 60 feet per round until it lands.
- Safety Checks: Users must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw to land safely or regain flight capability if concentration is broken. The save DC is 15.
- Damage Checks: For every damage above 10, a dexterity saving throw with DC equals to 10 (+ the excess damage above 10 with a cap of 23) is required.
- Rider Ejection: If the riders fail a dexterity saving throw from an effect or a spell while on the broom, they must maneuver it and make another dexterity saving throw with DC 10 to stay up (so pretty easy lol?)
- Summoning: As an action, the attuned user can summon the broom to their hand, regardless of physical distance or planar barriers, by speaking the command word. If there is sufficient Red Essence charge remaining, the broom flies to the user at its maximum speed.
Upgrades
- Gaziari Nitro Module: The broom emits a powerful jet of flame behind it, propelling it forward. The broom can use 2 charges as a bonus action to double its speed until the end of the current round. However, the broom rider must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw at the end of the round or lose control and fall prone in midair. 600gp 1 slot, Brand: Gaziari Unlimited

- Aerospida: cost 400gp The broom projects a shimmering force field around itself and its rider, protecting them from harm. The broom can use 1 charges as a reaction to gain resistance to all damage except pshychic and necrotic until the end of the current round. Permantly grants + 1 ac to the riders while riding the thing Brand: Aero
- Aerosense: cost 100gp modifies the essence engine with one that operates partially on steam, reduces the ammount of essence that the broomling needs so the cost becomes 2gp per charge, Brand: Aero
- Aerobiliser: cost 400gp, auto stabiliser in case the broomling goes flippy flippy (Advantage on dexterity saving throws against being thrown out of the broomling)
- Bourlotus Launcher: 500gp The broom fires a small explosive projectile at a target within range. The broom can use 2 charge as a bonus action to make a ranged weapon attack with the missile, using its Dexterity modifier for the attack and. The missile has a range of 120 feet and deals 3d6 bludgeoning on a hit. Also the missile explodes in a 10-foot radius sphere centered on the point where it landed, and each other creature in that area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 fire damage. - Zachary’s Boombas: 500gp The broom fires a large explosive projectile at a target within range as a bonus action at the begining of a creature turn, the. The broom can use 1d4 charges as a bonus action to make a ranged weapon attack with the missile, using its Dexterity modifier for the attack and. The missile has a range of 120 feet and deals 4d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit. The missile also explodes in a 15-foot radius sphere centered on the point where it landed, and each creature in that area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take an extra 4d6 fire damage (or half as much on success). 1d20 chance (on 1) the Boombas misfire and explodes on the broom, breaking the broom as well (deals 4d6 fire damage) (the broom needs 1d4 days to get fixed by someone who can fix it). - Zachary’s Boombies: 300gp (up to 3 charges) The broom fires up to 3 explosives in a bonus action, the missiles has 60 feet range and can target 3 creatures, dealing 2d6 bludgeoning damage, exploding in a 5 foot range dealing extra 1d6 fire damage on success to everyone else nearby. 1d20 chance (on 1) the Boombies misfire and explodes on the broom does not break the broom but deals 1d6 fire damage for every boombie that attempted to fire.
