Spellcasting: Using the Blue shard.

  • Water Vortex: You create a swirling vortex of water in a 20-foot-radius, 60-foot-high cylinder centered on a point you can see within range. The vortex lasts for the duration, making the area difficult terrain and pulling creatures and objects that aren’t secured toward its center. When you cast this spell, and as a bonus action on each of your turns thereafter, you can move the vortex up to 30 feet in any direction along the ground. The vortex sucks up any water in its path, including water from creatures in the area. Each creature in the vortex must make a Strength saving throw at the start of each of its turns. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage and is pulled 10 feet toward the center of the vortex. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t pulled. In addition, any creature that starts its turn in the vortex’s area has its speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of its next turn. If the vortex moves over a body of water, it rises up to 60 feet above the surface and can move across it at a speed of 90 feet per round. The vortex can’t move over land that isn’t covered by water. When the spell ends, the vortex disperses and any water it absorbed rains down within 30 feet of the vortex’s last position.

Lys can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the following options. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Lys regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

  • Water Surge: Lys moves up to her speed without provoking opportunity attacks. During this movement, she can move across water and other liquid surfaces as if they were solid ground.
  • Water Veil: Lys creates a veil of mist around herself, granting her advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks until the start of her next turn.
  • Redirect Attack: Lys can use her reaction to redirect one attack that targets her to another creature within 5 feet of her. The attack roll is rerolled against the new target
  • Sharborn magical resistance, at the cost of two legendary actions Lys gains advantage to any saving throw targeting her with magical effect.

Background: Lys is a Shardborne, a hybrid of elf/human and dragon, created by the experiments of Zelin and the avatar of Tiamat. She is the product of an aquatic dragon and a shard of power. Her hair is a deep blue, reminiscent of the ocean depths. Lys is known for her rebellious spirit and her love for the sea. She is the wrath of the sea personified, fierce and unpredictable.

Personality: Lys is fiercely independent and has a strong sense of justice. She is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in and will fight tooth and nail against any form of oppression. She is also deeply compassionate and cares deeply for her fellow Shardborne siblings. However, her experiences have also made her wary and she has a deep-seated mistrust for authority figures.

Abilities: As a Shardborne, Lys has the ability to transform into a dragon. In her dragon form, she has the power to control water and create powerful storms. As a fighter, she is skilled in melee combat and is particularly adept at using her natural weapons in her dragon form.
